When two 8-bit numbers $\dpi{100} A = A_{7}...A_{0}$ and $\dpi{100} B = B_{7}...B_{0}$ in one’s complement representation (with $\dpi{100} A_{0}$ and $\dpi{100} B_{0}$ as the least significant bits) are added using a ripple-carry adder, the sum bits obtained are $\dpi{100} S_{7}...S_{0}$ and the carry bits are $\dpi{100} C_{7}...C_{0}$. An overflow is said to have occurred if (Assume neither A nor B is 1111 1111 )

(A). the carry bit $\dpi{100} C_{7}$ is 1

(B). $\dpi{100} ( B_7 \odot S_7 ) ( A_7 \oplus B_7 )$ is 1

(C). $\dpi{100} \left ( A_{7}.B_{7}.\bar{S_{7}}+\bar{A_{7}}.\bar{B_{7}}.S_{7} \right )$ is 1

(D). $\dpi{100} C_7 \odot C_6$ is 1.
